With most browsers, the Export Excel button starts a download of a .csv file with data from the report. Safari will display the .csv file directly within the browser window itself. Safari displaying the .csv file directly is not a bug but may not be the intended behavior.
In order to work around this behavior to download the file, please perform the following steps:
1. Click on the “Export Ticket To Excel” button
2. Select the date range of data you wish to export
3. Click on the “Export To CSV” button in the bottom left corner
Again, because Safari is designed to handle the raw data inside of the browser, the next thing you see will be a page showing your raw data. Safari will not prompt to save the file somewhere to your local machine. To save the file locally, right-click (or control-click) on the page, and select “Save Page As”:
After the “Save Page As…” another prompt will show up allowing you to choose the file name and where you wish to save the file. Change “Format” to “Page Source”:
That’s it, you’ve just exported your data to a .csv file that can be opened with Excel or any other spreadsheet application.
